Indeed. So double the number of AgIslands, or even triple them. So
now we have somewhere from fourteen to forty-two, assuming a
population of seven billion. It could be more than that by this
time, so double again, giving us from twenty-eight to eighty-four
AgIslands. Still under a hundred.

Deep sea fish farming would require a lot deeper than ten metres.

Yeah. And I'm not sure that growing food in space and sending to
Earth is good economics. Nor am I sure that using under-the-valley
farming decks is the way to go. I just wanted to show that it could
be done. Lack of food is not going to stop Breakout.

To create a simulated deep-sea environment, just have less light in the
habitat. That should create a suitable ocean-floor environment for anything
you care to have live in it, except maybe whales and other large sea
critters. But, I don't see them being farm-raised for food anywhere, let
alone space. Most stuff that lives in the deep water just likes it cold and
dark, they don't really care about the depth pressure. Not really the
gravity, either; when something is neutrally buoyant, it behaves like it's
almost weightless anyway.
As for range, if a tuna or salmon lives in a cylindrical ocean it can swim
as far as it likes, just as long as it goes east to west. Maybe put a salmon
ladder on the endcaps.
