I wonder why humans adapted to interstellar travel (whatever such an
adaptation could possibly be) would look like those aliens from that
defunct TV series, "Earth - Final Conflict".

Well I think its called limited imagenation.. Who really knows? Theres
a good chance that since the human image ie what human are suppose to
look like, maybe so ingrained in mainstream culture. We go out of our
way to maintain this supposive image of what humans should look like.
And if so you can count on the more idealised way a human should look.
Infact we see this now with plasticsurgery. Chances are the future
just may bring prettier humans.. Will there be a anti subculture
angainst such self modifications. Yes. We see this now. But it will
pass. What seems extreme now in a few years will seem like nothing at
all... inless something causes another darkage and a oppressive
ideology (be it religest or policital) takes over, and sets man back
another 1000 years..

Would be interesting to travel through time, say few million years
into the future to only find out nothing about humans has really
changed. At least looks wise...
