Read Gerard O'Neil's "The High Frontier". In addition to SPS, O'Neill
discusses space-based solar concentrating mirrors which might have the
square area of a football field while still massing less than a car.
Such a mirror, operating over the course of 30 years, could provide
process heat equivalent to the burning of 1 million barrels of oil.

Dunno, don't care. I'm more interested in how to use solar energy in
space *inexpensively*, and I'm quite prepared to waste a *lot* of
sunlight to do it ;-)
