Scaled up in size (4,000 ft long x 600 ft wide?) and launch-frequency, possibly with one or more water-rocket initial stages, I would expect coat-per-pound to LEO (including salvagable scrap-value rocket-body and residual fuel) to drop in the long term to around $1.

How does it get so cheap? That seems impossible for any rocket.

What is the theoretical minimum cost to orbit, i.e. if you pay just the energy cost at wholesale electricity prices? I calculated it once, although I may have used retail electricity price, and I have in mind that it was over $1/lb.
