I would agree that Mars advocates strongly insist 1/3 G is OK because they have to, not because there's good data to point to.

Waited to see the response of others to what could be misapplied research but didn't see any. The statement that inner ear perceptions of up and down were lost at 0.5 g seems correct for the test but wrong when you can properly stand or sit for a while.

That was what made me skeptical. Several of the Apollo astronauts slept in hammocks in the LM. It seemed to me if that figure was right, then we would have heard stories of them saying they lost all perception of up and down when they closed their eyes to sleep.

This was under artificial gravity, and so would have involved a lot of whirling about with short radii of rotation, and thus likely to cause all sorts of inner-ear confusion.

I've never heard any such, but I expect the Moon Hoax people to hook onto this fast.
