I like the welcome message to this group and hope the discussions
will lean a bit more towards the development of space and any
problems and complexities involved with it.

Hopefully, the nuke-lovers will leave or some nuke realists will come
in and effectively kick their butts out.

Always. Continually. Anybody who wants to pitch in, can look back
through the archives or write up something new (in their copious free
time).

As a confessed moderate pro-nuke nut, I can say that everyone here
keeps the discussion to a reasonable level. It's one of the best
places at Yahoo to avoid excessive opinionated commentary.

You're possibly confusing some here for rabid, unthinking nutcases,
who won't listen to alternatives. So far, everyone has been fairly
open minded -not spouting hyperbole which favors their points.
Lucio hasn't stepped in to douse any flames lately.
I won't go too far, and say that those who favor banning certain
technologies without further consideration are precisely the opposite
sort.

One nice thing about these groups (which I've liked since they were
@ onelist) is that if the traffic gets too high, you can always
switch to reading messages at the site, instead of getting mail. It's
never necessary to completely drop out.
If the discussion is about something which you've got no opinion on,
just sit back, & check in once a week or so. Lurking & occasionally
inserting a note or comment is always an option.

That's precisely what I did the past couple weeks, except it was more
because I was feeling overwhelmed by my email rather than not being
interested in the topics.
