Well, for most people (like me) genes are those complex GCTA-type molecules.
So my first impression was more a genetical experiment than space settling.
And many people are opposed to genetical engineering ... so this would be
a bad connotation, from a public relations point of view.
My knowledge about ancient languages is very limited.
Could you maybe make up a name meaning "living in space"
(instead of "travelling in space", astronaut)?
Next question would be if russians will insist on being "cosmo...".
What will the chinese be called then? :*)
