I read the Lunar Dragger article
(http://hometown.aol.com/cfrjlr/space/index.html) last night. It didn't
help; I think this idea is flawed and can't work. One could test it by
dragging what ever is to be tried (prototype) for a Lunar Dragger behind a
cross-terrain vehicle in the western desert, and measuring the forces
generated. I am glad you concede (in the e-mail I received this) morning
that one must plow. But a plow (as used in agriculture on Earth) hitting a
large rock will either brake the blow, pull off the hitch with the tractor,
or stop the tractor dead. Even large tree roots can do that. Trust me, I
have plowed on farms in Kansas. I think you will give up after actually
pulling plows through fields of rocks.

Thanks for reading the article Jay and others.

Perhaps one day this idea will gain some traction :-)
