Hi! I recently wandered into information about placing a large SPS
at the LaGrange point ,L1,which would double as a partial solar shade.
It would thus address global warming in a twofold capacity. Anybody
know where I could find more info on this idea? Thanks

Start with the geometry. When viewing the Sun from Earth, what fraction of the photosphere will be obscured by a satellite of a given area at the Sun-Earth L1. SOHO is there now, but there is plenty of room. Jay Huebner
