My 16 year old son spotted the hoax immediately. We both agreed that
what was truly scary was the explanations / comments put up on the site.

Yes indeed the comments were scary. I liked all of the eye
monitoring explanations. Or the quantum computing.
I think that this was an excellent demonstration of pyschology being
used to purposely deceive. People so trust what they see that
they'll concoct all sorts of explanations rather than question their
own perceptions. A comment in the spacesettlers group hypothesizes
whether the young who are more accustomed to a graphic world, rather
than a text world, will spot this more quickly because they focus on
the symbols that are missing rather than the selected card.

The comments claiming it wasn't accurate 100% of the time are the
scariest.
Anyone who has figured it out knows why it will always be correct 100%
of the time.

I think the comments were created by the creator of the quiz as part of
the set up of the con.
