Hi all,

If any is interested, there is a 3d model of the Space
Colony from the book "The High Frontier" or so the
write up says.

Space Colony
(for Bryce 4, Bryce 5 or Bryce 5.5)

This kind of Space Colony appear for the first time
during the '70 in book The High Frontierwas by Gerard
K. O'Neill.
Looking along the axis of rotation from inside an
"O'Neill Cylinder" we see three habitation strips
alternated with three windows. The windows do not
allow direct sunlight. Light is reflected from mirrors
into the interior. The cylinder sits with one hub
pointed so that a maximum shielding affect is gained
in the direction of maximum solar storm flux.
The axis is at zero gravity and could be used for
human powered flight, zero g sports or whatever your
imagination allows.
The Space Colony is two miles (3 km) in radius, and
twenty miles (30 km) long.

Space Colony INCLUDE (see picture):
* The Space Colony
* The Planet Earth with separate cloudmap

Apparently there still is interest in this.

Well, it certainly makes for beautiful pictures. And the price seems
reasonable. I myself don't use Brice, so I don't have any use for this.

A couple of problems:
There is only one cylinder. There should be two, connected together.
I suppose that you could just use it twice, though.

The little spheres on the big circle... are these the agriculture
pods? They look like they are, and they are arranged in this weird,
irregular way. I see this with _Mobile Suit Gundum_, too. So maybe
it's SUPPOSED to be that way? It just doesn't look right to me, but
then what do I know?

Such a model isn't that difficult, I will make one myself sometime
and render a frame to try to interest someone in funding a digital
planetarium show on space colonies. A Bernal Sphere seems a bit more
physically feasible but the 'Crystal Palace' section would be quite
demanding to model and especially to render.
