That's neat, Mike. Thanks for sharing. Of course it's really just
half a habitat -- without the other cylinder, this would do some
serious end-over-end tumbling.

And even if the tumbling could be prevented, it wouldeventually be pointing awayfrom the sun. Yeah, don't think I wasn't powerfully tempted by the notion of purchasing a second one and linking the two together.

As you work the semi molten metal the "gas" in solution will form bubbles and out gas ..... amount of bubbles depends on how much gas is in solution....

They certainly seem to have done a better job of remembering High Frontier than we in the West have. Orbital habitats have figured in a popular anime TV series. "L5: First City in Space" was, I believe, a half Japanese production. And then they thought of Island Three when devising a set of space-themed mini-models.
