Has anyone from SSI ever considered identifying interested parties in,
say, Los Angeles, in the film/TV industry to make a near future/near
Earth tv series or a film? Seems that this might (if properly timed)
be a means to get the message out. David Gerrold or Ben Bova
or...geez, most of the SF authors of this generation grew up on
O'Neil's idea. You should be able to find some big name with an
interesting idea...

If microgravity or space tourism (I differentiate suborbital hop thrill
rides from space hotels here) takes off (sorry-pun alert) then you
could even film short portions in real microgravity (a la the Apollo 13
movie). Tom Hanks is reportedly a space nut - he might even want to
direct.

Not as much as I'd like, actually. At least not
the part I linked to. The Spacesettlers group
in general is a wonderful place with a lot to
offer. A lot of us who are members of this group
are members there also.
