We don't have to research this because an entire roomful of scientific
experts and engineers studied this back in the 1970's. You're asking us
to believe that you and you alone can see big, obvious things which that
entire room was totally oblivious to. We have no reason to suppose
that's the case.
To argue that hydrogen has been oversold by its promoters doesn't change
many minds here because I'm sure many on this list would have agreed
with that assertion before you showed up to make it.
To argue that ground-based solar has serious fundamental problems its
promoters tend to gloss over doesn't change many minds here either,
since we're mostly already in agreement that SPS is vastly superior.
Your anecdotes do help support the general contention that scientists
are human and imperfect. What we don't have any reason to believe is
that you're far smarter than the vast majority of them. Besides, as I
remember, your lunar article was mostly an attack on unnamed
illustrative artists or science-fiction writers, which is quite beside
the point of academic debate. It seems your chief motivation is to
attack someone else for their presumed obliviousness. It's not as
tremendous a contribution as you're thinking.
