I disagree -- I think we DO know the effects of 24-hour light on crop
plants. We know this both from crops grown above the arctic circle,
where they get 24/7 sunlight during the summer, as well as from
experiments such as NASA's growth chambers, which do the same thing
with artificial light. And yes, it does increase crop yields
substantially.
