By-Pass the Moon?

I agree with most of what's being said here only I believe lunar
facilities would be the key link in a multi-phased approach of lunar,
orbital,and NEA development.. Each have their own unique properties
and should work together as a whole system.. This may seem like a big
undertaking(and it is), but the rewards could be reaped faster than
some think.. If the basic infrastructure of affordable lunar
activities were there, I think there would be an explosion of
corporate and private interest..

Personally I don't think Mars should have so much focus.. It's kinda
like "putting the cart before the horse" in my opinion. And I don't
really care if there is life there or not.. I wouldn't want to live on
a cold dusty desert planet either....
