By-Pass the Moon?

Ceres does not have "...extremely low gravity well..."

Of all the asteroids it has the deepest gravity well. It is one of the
poorest candidates. When you consider the greater distance from the
Sun, the delta-vee needed to soft land on Ceres is much higher than
that needed to soft land on the Moon.

There are much smaller asteroids with basically zero gravity well which
would be much better candidates than Ceres.
