Does everyone in this group assume that space colonies will be set up
to simulate gravity?

I am intrigued by the prospect of weightless civilization. I realize
that weightlessness produces effects on biological tissues that are
seen as "problems". But these effects (bone softening and muscle
atrophy), it seems to me, are problems only for people who plan to
return to Earth, or other planets. Permanent, multigenerational
weightlessness, it seems to me, poses the prospect of not only a
redefinition of human biological nature, but probably the prospect of
a speciation into a post-human civilization. A program for evolution
that runs along these lines I have developed at www.starlarvae.org.

Any thoughts on doing away with gravity altogether?
