Aesthetic displeasuwith values non-gravitational (was why outer space?)

Transportation costs here on Earth don't even begin to compare with transportation costs in space. If the cost of getting a pound to Hawaii or Alaska were 1/10 that from an asteroid to the Earth, you'd see a lot more local production from indigenous materials.
