Sample chapters in files

I model my expulsion scenerio on the migrations to America from
Northern Europe including victims of Britain's Enclosure Acts of
Parliament after the Seven Years War where corrupt politicians
eneacted laws forcing many English farmers off the common lands and
their own for them to take over and replace with early mechanized
farming or sheep. I looked around for what groups resemble those
early settlers. At same time I don't see environmentalists and people
with long term government jobs wanting to pack up their things and
move up to L5 nor members of the zero population movement.

I'm trying to be as realistic and as contemperary as possible.

People wanting to leave will be those most fed up with the system. I
figure high taxes and social decay will be strongest motivators as
many early settlers though wanting to improve things for their lives
felt they had better economic opportunities still in europe until
after the seven years war. That's when the big movements of migration
began. Prior to that American population doubled every twenty years
primarily to the domestic birthrate.

As for the style, well with my previous novel people told me they
thought it was over priced and over punctuated and had too many words
to describe things. Perhaps I have overcompensated?
