A reason to go to Mars

I would take it as given that the NEAs will be exploited first. I think the Main Belt will only be exploited later, at a point where Earth is no longer the predominate trading partner. But given a century or two, I'm sure the overwhelming majority of the solar economy will be in the Main Belt.
