I don't have the time or desire to type out in exact detail exactly why it's
an incredibly bad idea to try and use hydrogen as a fuel in aircraft that
have to function in the real world. As opposed to clever little models, or
NASA's carefully rigged demonstrations. So I used a four word approximation.
Finding a couple of fluff news articles which barely mention that it can be
done and ignore all possible problems does not change the accuracy of what I
said. Nor does it change the idiocy of believing that two fluff pieces in
any way change the engineering experience that tells us this is an
incredibly bad idea. Information which, by the way, is not hidden that well
on the internet.

And if we're really going to talk about alternative fuel sources as a motive
for going into space, aircraft and cars can also run on rubber bands! So why
not go prospecting for the materials needed to make rubber in the asteroid
belt! Surely there's enough material (with godlike time, energy, and effort)
to produce enough rubber to replace all the jet and piston engines in the
world! What a sensible and completely flawless idea!
