My only thoughts on the matter is that there is a high probability of something being trapped in the L4,5 points given that they are tidal dead zones, in a manner of speaking that is. We can look at our own Pacific ocean which has a current dead zone, or one could say where many currents come to gather, and cancel each other out thus the area of the ocean collects all the discarded floating trash thrown into it.

Since we haven't been able to detect anything there doesn't mean there is anything there, nor can was assume that if there is something there that it is of any use to use in our endeavors. So I say it's more then worth looking at for a number of reason the chief reason being if we happen to want to put a station/hab there, then cleaning the place up makes good sense. Whether there be space trash of man, or solar system leftovers. Or something very useful such as heavy Nickle Iron asteroid small in size, but big in marital pay off then all the better, just icing on the cake.
