Back to square one. the actual truth is that nanotech augmentation will mean that bodies won't get old or die from natural causes.

so there is no reason to run away from ones body and no reason to kill
yourself in order to favor a copy.

There is little reason to have such limits unless we can't get out of our solar system, I would expect people to make millions of biosynth children because it seems like thats what human megalomania would be about.

As long as we can spread that population into the whole galaxy/ universe, its not a problem.
