Asteroid Capture

Anything above 50 meters is probably not going to be considered for Earth orbit. The 5 to 10 meter sized objects would be great for study and resource extraction in Earth orbit though and we get one of those crashing into Earth every year and untold zipping past as near misses.

In fact an article several months ago showed that a 1 meter asteroid is probably in a temporary orbit around Earth right now. http://phys.org/news/2011-12-earth-temporary-moon.html There it is, lasting about 10 months before being ejected out of orbit. Pretty much just need to find them and bring them into a lower more stable orbit which should be a pretty modest task.
