Janet, there are no credible, long-time reporters on UN doings who have reported this story, period. Please provide some credible evidence for your claims not just, a right wing anti UN anti Planned Parenthood organisation X told me it happened.

Also dropping birth rates are not due to the 'channeling of sex into non-reproductive uses'. Educated females, urbanisation, access to birth control and use of birth control are the main reasons.

The housing boom was due to a speculative bubble not overestimating birth rates and miss counting abortions.

The Earth cannot sustain humans much beyond our current level, getting to space should not be strived for by destroying Earth for humans. That's like saying we should get more houses by sealing the toilets and using the floors as a bathroom until we are forced to move on. Access to birth control allows us to decide when and how many children to have and reduces population growth, poverty, and strains on our environment.
