Could life in solar system complicate space settlement?

Let's put it this way. The amount of carbon dioxide in the air, and the
volume of air must support one part agriculture and ten parts just trees.
At regular intervals trees will have to be burnt to release co2. In reality
in some design it is possible that the volume of air could be much higher
than this.
