Is humanity quietly abandoning a futuin space?

And to emphasize the point. This is one of the last things I read John
McKnight wrote. Just after he wrote this he sent out a note to those he
corresponded with that if we wanted to read anything he wrote we would have to
pay for it by subscribing to his e mail list for $50.00 per year. I did not
send him the money and he never said anything else that I can tell. In My
World he just disappeared.

When John said this, I looked around and knew he was telling the truth.
Since then I have seen too many people say I want to get us into space but
it
has to be exactly my way and you have to pay me a large amount of money.
I would say that if you talked to 1000 people who says they are interested

in space travel 9 out of 10 would say what can you do for me today. Only 1
out of 100 would say "What can I do to help".

One possibility is to pool resources under the ambit of the United
Nations.
A lot of countries do not have their own space programs, but could
contribute money.
