Oh yeah also with the fusion for 'sunlight', one thing I thought of is that fusion creates gamma radiation. And only through the repeated absorptions and emissions as the electromagnetic radiation makes its way out of the star do we get the spread of 'sunlight' from gamma to radio waves. (I'm sure we'll figure it out by then, whether by converting the gamma rays or by just using fusion to power only the more useful EM wavelengths.)
