So possible, but terribly expensive, and wouldn't be done without a VERY good reason.

Also, do they know in which direction the predators are located? It doesn't help to squirt you evidence right at them.
So it isn't a likely explanation of why we haven't found the aliens, but it is on the edge of possibility.
