Say, that's an interesting point that you're bringing to mind. It's when we do things the government program way that it's elitist (at least in the intellectual, if not financial sense). It's when private enterprise gets involved that you start down a process which might well start out with $125,000,000 homes but will quickly push that down through expanding production and the attendant economies of scale. Then it becomes less, not more, elitist.
