There was a scientist a while back who was promoting a device for separating out elements from space resources which was essentially a mass-spectrometer writ large. I used to link to a site of his from my Space Settlement site, but past a point his site disappeared. Can't seem to remember his name, now (Jay something?). Maybe somebody else remembers this better.
