Yeah, I'm messing around with sports again.

So, let's imagine a ten metre diameter hollow sphere. Assume whatever material you think would work best, but it would be nice if it were something transparent. I bring in a water hose and start to very gently run water against the inside surface. Does surface tension or anything else cause it to adhere to the surface, and spread out, forming a hollow sphere of water inside the hollow sphere of plastic or glass or sapphire or whatever?

What's the limit to how much water I can put in before it starts to separate into blobs, or is the only limit that eventually the water will be so deep that it fills the sphere?

Could I do this with the outside surface? Have holes at the "north and south poles" and cover both inside and out with, say, 2.5 metres depth of water?

Or several smaller holes, so that a swimmer on the inside could pass a ball to a swimmer on the outside?

I'm willing to credit whoever helps out with this tiny little ain't-no-point-without-it detail.
