Real estate is what it really is all about.

I have been following this group for a while now. If we are going to move beyond the bounds of this Earth then we have to establish the most cost effective, most efficient way of making HABITABLE real estate. Agricultural areas have to be foremost in the establishment of self sustaining colonies. I like to think in terms of what technology do we have now, not in terms of what we can develop. I am an optimist as far as to what we can achieve, but as for everything we could put together today, is all we have today. I believe the moon to be a great resource, and that to use it, we have to develop and live there first.
We could first land tuna can habs, and then use as much of the local resources to build serious real estate. Check out www.superiorwalls.com
Could not this bolt together reinforced concrete be used to make large pressurized structures that could be covered to 10 meters or so. Oneil said 2 meters was enough to shield us, I say there is never enough. The math was done on cosmic rays, but was it done on a fist size stone at 36,000kph?
