National Geographic's "Evacuate Earth"

Creating your own isolated space where everything is predetermined is also
a kind of inbreeding. Imagine what it would be like if all people on Earth
lived in exactly similar environments.

In this sense living on the Moon or Mars is going to be an entirely
different experience. Also from the point of view of enthusing the public
to support colonization of space, setting up an outpost on the Moon will be
far more exciting. How many people are excited about the Space Station?

For humans to be humans there should be things which are not entirely in
their control.
