I've been following it. It certainly would, but caution is needed. In
particular, in the recent results that have the internets all abuzz,
it's worth noting that they got the same effect both when it was set up
to produce the effect, and when it was set up to NOT produce the effect.

So either it's a real effect that they don't understand how to create,
or (more likely) it's an artifact. They're pouring a huge amount of
energy into a device and measuring a very tiny effect; some of that
energy could easily leak in lots of different ways.

But again, I do hope that they really have found some loophole in the
physics that makes space travel dramatically easier. And if they have,
I'm confident it will be validated soon!
