Mike, I'm a recent lurker, and have only recently seen references to your site. If there's any way possible to keep it alive, I, for one, would love the opportunity to go through it. Please let us know if you find a way to keep it available!

Thanks for sharing that story.
I heard another funny story from someone in regard to my fiction. I got an E-mail from a High School English teacher who told me about a student who was in pretty serious academic trouble. Hed been caught with drugs, and was about to fail his English class. He was given one more assignment as a very last chance to avoid failing: Write a story set on another world.
When the teacher read what he turned in, it struck her as suspiciously mature for a high-schooler. The thing about Internet plagiarism is that while its easy for the student, its equally-easy for the teacher to confirm it. A Google search quickly turned up my story, The Land of Eternal Night. So needless to say, the student was in even worse trouble than before. But she commented that the teachers at the school had gotten started reading my fiction and talking about it.
That E-mail was a keeper.
Regards,
Mike Combs

There's a little story I've been meaning to tell and, true to my nature, I keep forgetting to do so. But this seems the time.
