directions in a space colony?

Well, that's why I raised the question: you see these terms used in SF
sometimes (though I didn't know it traced back to Heinlein).

However, since these mean (as far as I can tell) exactly the same thing
as "east" and "west", but are harder to say, it's hard for me to imagine
these catching on in the general public.
