feedback needed on TEDx talk

Mike -- this is Christopher Davidson. You might want to mention that
there are 250 million migrants and refugees in the world who have had to
leave their home countries because of war, poverty, etc. -- and there could
be many more in the future. Orbiting space settlements that are easily
accessible from Earth would have no problem finding immigrants, and they
might act as a safety valve for countries on Earth that are suffering from
civil war, poor governance, climate change and so on. Not only would
orbiting settlements be nice places to live, but they would also fill a
need that no country on Earth can fill, because with access to the
virtually unlimited resources of space, they could have open immigration
and produce homes, food and jobs for every one who needed them.

Thanks, that's a good idea.
I want to tread lightly on the notion of dismantling places with names,
though. I can see people getting emotionally attached to Ceres, and
seeing it as very heartless to ponder taking it apart to build habitats.
But when thinking about a billion nameless chunks of rock, it's much
harder not to see that as fair game. I like your idea of including the
3,000 times the livable area of Earth figure, though. Do you happen to
remember where that came from?
