This is not exactly on topic, but could you not have seperate modules
for growing food. Plants are not as exacting about living conditions
as humans are, and small cylinders with a small spin (0.1 g) with
growing conditions tailored to the plant being grown could increase
yeilds and make pest control fairly easy. Also ten or twenty such
small greenhouses floating seperately means that crop failures or
accidents would not destroy the entire food source.
