Removed member

I've just removed from our list the individual who sent the message below.
(I'm also CCeing this message to him/her.) Probably, there will be other
list mates who think that my course of action is despotic and intolerant.
Well, I *do* have ZERO tolerance with spammers. In the case of this
individual, he/she subscribed the list today apparently with the solely
purpose of sending spam to us.

I'm stating, as the moderator of this group, that any spammer entering our
list will be summarily removed after the first spam message. I'm opened to
discuss this course of action (I try my best to make this list as democratic
as possible...), but until someone (or a plebiscite) changes my mind, I'll
maintain that strict rule.
