Hello

I would like to offer a small observation on space property rights. The word
'deed' is shortened from 'deed of arms'. In other words a reward for siding
with the winning sovereign. Who said it was his to give away in the first
place.

Personally, I think the idea of space as a 'human endeavor' is Cold War bs.
No nation has ever relinquished its rights if there was anything to gain. The
signatory nations gave away the right to property because they don't want
development ou there. The military wishes we would all just sit behind the
wall they try to build.

I say, go out and claim what ever you can occupy. Historical precedent is on
your side. The treaties are only valid in the old context of nation-states
claiming things they don't actually own and yet selling them to others to
conquer for them. These new treaties are, IMHO, ploys for 3rd world dictators
to get claims to resources they couldn't dream of accessing for a dozen
lifetimes.

If someone goes out there and lands on an asteroid of gold, believe me, no
one will turn down the gold because of ant treaty violations.
