And we are giving up an hour of track time, for seeing if Pioneer 10
is still talking, in favor of the DSN doing a 6 hour radar scan of
the asteroid 1998 SF36 on the 24th of March. The joint
Japanese/Muses-C mission to land upon and return a sample from an
asteriod has recently selected 1998 SF36 as theri mission target for
a lunch in late 2002. Arecibo observations are planed for late March -
early April 2001. This from Dr. Albert Haldemann in an email from
Peter Tay at JPL acknowleging the tracking adjustment. Hope everyone
gets the benefit of learning what the shape is and how fast it is
turning. Hi - Larry Kellogg here, new to the list.
