I believe that the moon is the first place to go because it HAS
significant gravity. The manufacturing processes that we humans are
familiar with use gravity even if only to keep the material in the
container. Many process absolutely require it. Going to the moon via
robotic manufacturing may be the only practical way to step up to zero
gravity manufacturing.
