I am in full agreement with the doctrine of the SSI that space should
be colonised first as opposed to Mars or the Moon or any planetary
surface.

I would like to ask an important question to Mars advocates though.

What would happen to the child of a woman who became pregnant in a
low gravity environment?

Would the foetus develop normally? Would the child be born normally?
Has any practical research been done on this issue?

If this is an unknown I would suggest that this issue should be
resolved before there are any plans to colonise either the moon or
Mars or any other moon/planet with low gravity.
