It would not be feasible for a small base. The minimum size of an SPS
type system over 40,000 km would be a few gigawatts. Not worth doing
until the base needs reach that size. The recetennas would actually be
fairly simple to make. Schottky diodes would be shipped from Earth,
the rest is metallic chicken wire, robots would manufacture it and lay
it out.
