Nukes & solar panels

Nuclear rockets would make SPS easier to do. I think nuclear reactors are
more useful in powering a rocket than they are in powering a city, they are
compact sources of power, but in powering a city, the advantages of their
compactness is lost, and it might as well be a hydroelectric dam. The problem
with nukes powering cities is that when things go wrong, large areas can
become uninhabitable for long term living. I think nuclear reactors are best
employed where there are few people, that is why I suggest a sea launched
reusable nuclear rocket as a launch vehicle. With air as a propellent, you
minimize the need to store hydrogen cryrogenically, perhaps water could be
substituted for hydrogen if the fuel savings is great enough, the only
concern then is the nuclear reactor and the rocket nozzile. Ideally this
vehicle should be able to be reused perhaps 50 to 100 times a year to
minimize launch costs.
