There were two studies - one in 1975 at stanford University SP-413
space settlements and the other NASA AMES study SP-428 Space
settlements and resources. They are on the CD-ROM you mentioned with
the latest edition of 'THE HIGH FRONTIER'.

Although I would definately recommend the latest edition of THE HIGH
FRONTIER' - there is lots more up-to-date info in the new chapters
and also some video stuff on the CD-ROM
