lunar materials could be processed in orbit, where a container is not

The problem is, that at these temperatures, the iron oxide would simply
evaporate. Of coarse, we could discociate the iron (ii)oxide within a sealed
container, using an electric arc between two tungsten electrodes. The Local
heating within the FeO would be so great, that it would discociate. The
container itself would remain at mush lower temperatures.
