As the iron gas expands, it obeys the gas laws and cools. Once the iron
expands to a certain volume it can come in contact with a surface without
melting it and condense forming an iron deposit. The method might go
something like this. High up on a tower, you focus a parabolic mirror on a
deposite of ferric oxide or Titanium oxide liberation the oxygen atoms from
the iron or Titanium atoms, the titanium or iron gas expands as it falls
toward the lunar surface and then condenses forming a deposit, the oxygen
remains a gas and dissapates. You then scrape of the iron or titanium coating
from the Moon's surface.
